In halacha, IIRC, day begins when you can distinguish black from blue, or something like that. Needed to determine the earliest time for saying morning prayers. Nightfalls for most purposes when 3 stars are visible. (of course this is fixed for any date and location, so it doesnt matter if say its cloudy out, or theres too much light pollution)Originally posted by Heresson
