Yeah, that's a problem that I'm still facing as well. I just decided that I didn't care about the adds and gave up on trying to get rid off them.

The ads may be associated with the background displayed on the page. When I previously saw ads on other pages, I noticed that the background display was a hatched effect (very faint, closely-spaced diagonal lines). Now the Civ 4 page has that background, but none of the other pages that I viewed do.
