I think like Ming said, in addition to the family site thing, it proved to be a handful to manage. People constantly went overboard with the pictures, and not only that, but it was kind of hard to judge any way what was acceptable and what wasn't. I used to post in those threads (one of my very few forays into the OT), and had some of my pics deleted by Ming (IIRC), since he saw a violation of the rules where I honestly didn't. Don't blame him - better safe than sorry - just saying, it was kind of subjective, and probably was a pain in the ass to moderate.
