I think it has some merit and promise (as other have commented, it will take a while to get used to it), but right now, being the upstanding Conservative, I have to say it's predominantly sucky.

What is the purpose of changing a layout which has worked well for so long?

In any case, the light bulb and flag should come first (after the avatar). I'm not sure whether I view forums on heavy or light. It's the default, so I guess that means heavy?

if you see the lightbulb, it's heavy

you can change your style from the drop down menu in the main forums page

For wideness issues, just check with one of Kuciwalker's posts. His ridiculous number of civ group icons will serve as a benchmark. Frankly, I don't get how anyone's allowed to display 30 icons relating to groups you don't regularly participate in.

But then I don't see the idea behind having the damned things accompany every single post..

Edit: I just checked it. Sure enough, Kuciwalker's info field is half a mile wide. It looks like it needs to be adjusted some more.

added a limit (18 for a total of two lines of icons) to the number of icons shown.
