    Hi Gavin.

IRC services are up and running as of this writing; if you encounter this problem again, try waiting 5-10 minutes. If the problem persists, by all means follow-up in this thread.

A helpful way to check whether or not the connection problem is at your our the server's end is to look at the "Apolyton Chat" heading atop forum index pages. It's not an 'absolute' rule, but it's an indicator. Do you recall if there were any usernames listed on this line at the time you attempted but were unable to connect?

Its really strange I can connect to normal Mirc. I have taken off my firewalls. Maybe 6667 is blocked by my isp.

Is there any other way to conect?

What do you mean by "normal" mIRC? You mean other IRC sites through mIRC or..?

The blocking off of that port is possible and worth looking into.

The only ways to connect are through the use of an IRC client like mIRC or through the web-based interface. On the first of these, you could also try another IRC client for comparison. On the second, what browser/version are you running? Do you have Java/JavaScript enabled?

Normal mirc=Efnet/dalnet all work perfectly but use port 6666.

I have tried web, interface just gives same thing that mirc gives. Guess I will have to see if I can get some people workiing on the C4 smac mod to use msn messenger!

6667? The recurring number of the beast, multiplied by ten and rounded?
