  • What time is it? (daylight savings)

Suddenly all my post are made one hour in the past. Seems like Apolyton is not observing Daylight Savings Time(DST)?

Looked in my control panel but no

Is this something that will be fixed soon?

Yeah, it's irritating... One would think such a small thing would be handeled by the forum software easily.

Benjamin Franklin. Now, where did he come from...

Actually, starting in 2008 or something won't we be starting DST a MONTH earlier and ending a MONTH later in the US? I remember Bush pushing something like that through last year ...

First proposed by Benjamin Franklin but one can easily argue he didn't intend his suggestion to be taken seriously.

First seriously proposed by William Willett in 1907, first installed in germany, followed by the UK in 1916 (during WW1)

Use of DST varies a lot across the globe so adjusting server software to account for it properly may prove to be a royal pain in the ass

(unless the sofware exist already and all you have to do is activate it )

Having to have an even largre time gap with the USA for a whole week is inconvenient anyway .
