  • Is this feature possible here?

On a forum I visit, they have small buttons that mimic a function in OS X. These buttons allow you to show or hide certain parts of the forums - birthdays, who's online, certain sub-forums. Here's some photos to illustrate:

Note the button in the top right corner.

How useful would such a thing be, considered it is confined to one page?
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Given the forum uses an old and heavily hacked system, I would doubt it could be implemented if its a newish feature of the latest system.

That's not so much mimicking a function in OS X, as implementing the "window shade" function that's been around forever in the computer world.

Only thing is that WindowShade, for best results, should be bound to the mous wheel on the titlebar. Not to an extra button (unless you have no mouse wheel of cource)

Well now that Spikie has said no to the feature, this thread will need to be closed.

If I was a mod just for kicks I would delete these last two posts and close the thread so it looked like it was locked right after Spike posted "Thread closed."

                          Appreciate the suggestion, Verto.
