Please clean up cIV-forum, especially the many topped threads

In the cIV-General forum there are a lot of topped threads that really don't need to be topped.
Right now there are 9 (NINE!!!) threads topped, most of them do hardly have any replies or cover the same subject.

Other threads that should be topped aren't, while they come with good information for the gamers.

Please untop the following threads:
YOUR REVIEW of Civ4 (http://apolyton.net/forums/showthrea...hreadid=140483) (there's an entire forum for this, besides that, who cares about this?)

Right now the civ4-General forum is crowded (perhaps the most crowded forum of the forum) while AFAICS only Markos and Solver moderate it. There are a lot of double topic threads, etc. Perhaps you guys can deal with this more? (ie. merging threads, etc, closing AND deleting newbie double topic threads, etc.)

If this is too much work for you guys I'm willing to give you a hand.

I think they should change the default from showing 30 or so (I didn't count) threads per page to double that. The way it is, you've noticed it well, forum does get too crowded. It is inefficient to split information to so many pages.

I bet that there is some research somwhere showing that 85% of people consider it annoying to check for more than first page or two to see what threads are there. That's among the reasons why so much stuff gets duplicated and asked over and over.

Also, I think CFC has more threads per page.

Okay, I checked both Civ 4 General forums.

Civ Fanatics Central has 52 threads per one page, 7 of which are sticky.

Apolyton has 25 threads per one page, 8 of which are topped.

Much easier to see what's going on on CFC.

well the 25 number was a setting of the past to reduce loading speed and server use.

it's now 40 and i'll be adding an option for more for plus users...
