                      The error you recived is due to the database not having ennough connections available. I'm not sure what the limit is at, but non-plus members are blocked first. However, if a non-plus member is already being served by the database the connection won't be terminated. So you were just unlucky. I've not observed any high load, so maybe it would be OK to increase the max number of connections to the database. That's not my call, and you will have to wait for Markos answer.

                        the plus users are not differentiated on sql-level but on php-level

                        e.g. you cant be recognized as a plus user if the sql server is not responding at all
