  • bug report: icons left of title

at least using firefox 1.07, i get a 404 page for every icon i click to the left of the title of each thread.

this is independent of the forum.

for instance, this thread links nowhere

edit: fixed URL, but still doesn't work...

Yeah, you got two slashes in a row.

that doesn't change anything with just one slash

        looking at the source code:
        < td bgcolor="#d9d9d9">< a href="http://apolyton.net/forums//t139598-s.html">< img src="http://boa.apolyton.net/forums/images/dot_folder.gif" border="0" alt="">

BTW, the t before the number is not missing in my browser, i just deleted it by mistake in my first post

Oddly enough, the two slashes are present in the icons' links ... perhaps this is the problem

That's true, and would seem a plausible explanation.
            Is this easily fixed?

              it's not the slashes

i'll the question open for further speculation

                further speculation?
well, with the ending "html" it is obviously a static page. maybe only generated once a day or so. but i went back some months and also into the archive forums and the links did not work there either.

and other vBulletin boards i know of, do not have this link...

Although I have nothing near Gramphos' knowledge of these things ... it's got to be something like that.

It shows (on the forum version):

                    apolyton.net/forums/f253-s.html
where it should show (ie, the text-link shows: )
                    apolyton.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=253

My assumption is that something is supposed to take the f253-s.html and convert it into the PHP file there ... ie something converting "/FXXX-SYYY" to "/forumdisplay.php?s=YYY&forumid=XXX" ...

provide a static version of the page. the one which would be used if the thread is archived...

What? Am I not allowed to speculate on things technical things now? I thought it could be related to something else using the said feature of Apache, not working well together with the forum use of it. But ofcource I've no idea.
