so do you type "&" followed by the hex-code/name to make it appear?

it sounds like it'd be easier to paste it as an image

Do your post in word, then take a screenie, trim it to size, and post the image.

yep. that's what i did, roughly speaking. i pasted from word, then copied to paint so i could make the b/g tranparent.

for some bizarre reason, half the time, my pictures upload without a problem. the other times, they just don't show up, although i've done nothing different.

anyway, it's no biggie. thanks for the suggestions. i'm going to duck for cover now. otherwise the spam-meisters will take over, or we'll get blinged - either way, i'm headed for my spidey-hole. see you when the dust settles.

Yes, it´s a ***** to write in non-latin when you have a latin type keyboard and OS.

But I see you´ve tried to link to an image stored locally on your harddrive. That doesn´t work unless it´s also a webserver. Use the "Attach file" feature on the reply screen instead.

just wanted to say - sorry about my silly knee-jerk reactions; and thank you for the compliment, it was very kind of you. but i should point out,..

i do want one thing
the mods have been great so far, but could we please issue warnings before closing civ4-religion threads.
i) it is the civ4-"general" forum after all
ii) if the community remains fairly static, it won't matter. but if 'poly gets a bunch of new members with the release of civ4 i honestly think this will make a significant difference.

funny thing is, it does work sometimes.

personally, i find links and attachments to be a real pain.
