I can't attach files to my posts - can anyone suggest why this might be?

Yeah, I've virus/adware searched, exhaustively, but nothing appears. I use IE6, with the Google toolbar and zone alarm, but nothing else when I'm online.

As a final option, I fiddled about by removing some Windows updates and getting some more. Then I could download stuff again! So I got Firefox, and it works!
Nothing to attach now though.
