I think worse has happened once before. Wasn't it someone who got a 90 or 100% PCR once? I seem to remember a rumour of that...

He went from 10K to 9,500 or so (on a PCR) then to 0 to having his account locked to 40 to 9999 to 10K due to a bug and several fixes by MarkG... and then he suffered a 10% PCR or so.
And of course Area 54 resulted in some massive PCRs as well...
