  • Server problems?

For a couple of days now, I have been having trouble accessing 'poly. Surprisingly, there's no thread about this. Am I the only one having this problem?

Yes, which explains why there is no thread on it.

Even if other people are affected as well, how can they post to tell us?

, if they can't get here, they can't post a problem thread.

Use firfox and all your problems will be solved.

          Really funny, wise guys.

I try a couple of times a day, but most of the time (like 4 times out of 5), I can't access 'poly. I manage to get through sometimes. That's why I'm writing this here. There's not even a "we're full: please come again later" message. And it doesn't affect anyother site, only 'poly. I use Firefox btw.

            blame Canada

perhaps your country's infrastructure just can't support access to such a great internet site as Apolyton.

I get the occasional "connection refused" and "request timed out" but I just try again and then it works. I don´t know if it´s my ISP or Poly that´s acting up.

It looks like the server is having trouble right now.

a traceroute to apolyton.net at the time of problem could help

start -> run -> cmd (or command if you have win98)
a dos window will open. type
                        tracert apolyton.net
                        copy/paste the result here

I too am unable to access Poly from home, but can from work. I thought I was ISP banned.

                          Am I?

It doesn't matter terribly much, I've started reading books again. Just read 'Ender's Game'.Man, great SciFi is umm, great.
