Apolyton Civilization Site ( http://apolyton.net ) [ACS], one the premiere online fansites for the Civilization computer strategy gaming series and its extended family, is today announcing that they won´t cover the fourth incarnation of the Civilization series. From developer Firaxis Games and publisher 2K Games, a division of Take-Two Entertainment, comes Civilization IV with an anticipated release this coming winter. Judging by earlier promises this should probably be read as sometime in 2007.

Hi alva.

The formatting of the announcement corresponds to the news item. Given that the entire write-up is an Apolyton press release, I use the coloured text to indicate "speech" and quotation marks within to indicate speaking within the press release itself (if you follow ).

Still, given the different themes available on the forums I will consider removing the coloured text from the forum versions of such write-ups (thread and announcement texts) in future releases.

To the list of games to keep Firaxis company in their swotbox (*) I would add Master of Magic, so that SidCo get the concept that enjoyable combat is not only for Pirates! and Antietam!

(*) I imagine the cramped, spartan cell that candidates for academic degrees had to spend weeks in while studying and doing their exams during Chinese imperial times.
