In any case, I thought summer time in Europe doesn't affect GMT. In other words, if London goes to summer time it would be GMT+1. Is this right?

Technically, yes, but the forum software doesn't make a distinction between GMT and BST, so it's either a central change by Markos/Dan, or a decentral change by everybody. Easy choice

I hate daylight saving time. Anything making me go up earlier sucks.

Umm, the clocks went back 7 months earlier than they usually do. Why?

I just saw that the time now is GMT, even though it says it should be GMT +1. I'm 99% sure it wasn't so when I last checked the time, ie when I first posted in this thread?

So I changed my timezone, and now somebody switched the time back again, so now I'm an hour ahead of where I should be.

Mark wanted something to happen that didn't happen last year.

Maybe Dan changed it back, but it's the same story every year...

Well, something strange is definitely going on now - Finland is GMT+3, but I had to set the forum to GMT+1 to match.

That's right. GMT, or UTC as it is also called, is not affected by Daylight Saving. Everyone in the London time zone just goes from GMT+0 to GMT+1.

This is incorrectly reflected on this Forum, as I've stated lasted year. For example, it now says:

All times are GMT +1 hour. The time now is 08:42.

while actually, my current time (Western Europe) is GMT+2, 08:42.

Quite annoying, for purposes like planning a chat time.
