Frankly, I can understand why it was closed...
Our standard "unofficial" policy is to allow a single thread to discuss technical problems at other sites...
And in most cases, we tend to look the other way when people post in a style more consistent with the "down" site...
In this case, mrG went on a small spamming streak... while totally appropriate at CG, it spilled out beyond just a single thread. UR took action and the CG thread was caught up in the sweep.
As you will note, another thread created on the subject was allowed to stay open...
It's good to see that CG is back up again... it makes our lives easier

I don't think the CG hardcore post here at all these days. There was a lot of shared history in the OWO days and the boards have similar origins in SMAC sites. The umbilical cord was cut when we fled from planetACOL and since then ther ehas been less and less sharing of posters between the site. You did give us Drekkus though.
Thread has served purpose.
