My PLUS status dropped without warning too. Well, I only noticed it indirectly as I got my first "30 seconds between posts" warning for the first time in over a year.

There was an invalid entry in Rasputin's forum profile that resulted in his PLUS status being deactivated accidentally. His service has been re-instated, and the invalid entry has been manually corrected to prevent this error from re-occuring.
For the record, yes: a lifetime PLUS subscription ends whenever either the subscriber dies, or Apolyton shuts down.
