Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Indeed I am! The last charts are especially useful. Notice how the active posters figure is relatively flat even over a long period. However the Civ4 boost will be welcome to stop any decline in active posters - the C3C effect is marked even in these figures.Originally posted by Locutus
And for the first time I now have enough statistics on active users to make graphs for them as well. I'm sure a certain doctor will be pleased
Good work.

If you want to define a regular as someone who posts about once a month or more, then yes.Originally posted by Rasputin

Ever since the release of C3C both the number of active posters and the growth rate of the new logins has gradually been falling, so that seems fairly consistent. But as you say, the real interesting period is yet to come: as Civ4 approaches, we'll undoubtably be flooded in new members; it'll be interesting to see how strongly number of active posters will be affected, especially in comparison with the number of new logins. It's already so that around the time the first Civ4 rumours started to appear on gaming sites (Soren's presentation at the GDC was never very widely published), the falling lines flatten out.Originally posted by DrSpike

You mean.. 200 people and 59,800 double logins.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

At that point the term double login is really insufficient.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.
