Woah. Man, this thing is so much more ... uhhh, difficult, than SETI@Home. Back when I tried that thing on my laptop, it was done in like four-five hours, one set of data. This thing has been running for 11 hours now, and it's only... ... 15% done. Even though my system's rating thingey is 110.
Yep, Zopper. It even updates the client on its own.

Folding@home and the Human Proteome folding project are VERY-VERY-VERY different.
Folding@home aims to get at the science of how a small number of proteins of KNOWN structure fold dynamically. Folding@home is a project to further understanding of the folding process itself. They use a technique termed "molecular dynamics".
The Human Proteome Folding Project (this project) will predict the structures of proteins of UNKNOWN-structure, lots of them, tons of them. The aim of this project is to get structures and functions for huge numbers of proteins so that biologists and biomedical researchers who run into these mystery proteins in their research can look to our database for functional/mechanistic clues about their favorite mystery-proteins.
Both projects are good stuff, one is for Physics peeps and one is for biologists…
For more info on all this stuff see our site (including pictures of proteins):

The time it takes to complete a packet depends on the complexity of the protein. Some are very complex and take a lootttt of time.

Mine didn´t complete anything AFAIK and it seems that started a new one 3hs ago (0.4%)

Ugh. No wonder I have to keep authorising its access to the internet each time it completes a packet. I leave my computer for a few days only to find it was sitting idle most of that time...
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

As I said in the other thread, it looks like a ZoneAlarm bug.
The client hasn't been updated in about a month, before the Grid went live. And it hasn't been an issue on both of my computers with ZoneAlarm & the Grid on it.
