Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?
It's no good (from an evolutionary point of view) to have the physique of Tarzan if you have the sex drive of a philosopher. -- Michael Ruse
The Nedaverse I can accept, but not the Berzaverse. There can only be so many alternate realities. -- Elok

Now, those were the days, eh? SMAC is what made my interest in civ wake up. I had tried Civ2 before that, but I wasn't very good at English at the time, and didn't understand much. When SMAC came OTOH, I was hocked.Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

Some of those forums are mind-bogglingly immense. Take Gaia Online for instance.
It has 730 million posts. The largest single subforum has 16 million posts, and 400 000 of those are in a thread that's only three months old. The top posters have 50 000 posts, and there are roughly 660 000 members. The whole joint is only over a year old, the top poster with 52 000 hasn't even been there for a year. These people are spam machines compared to our own Deities.
Really puts things into perspective, Apolyton is the largest forum I frequent. My Words Are Backed With Bad Attitude And VETERAN KNIGHTS!

Once again, the total for Gaia Online was then merely 73 million.
Not that it matters… they've gone up by 7 million since then, more than double Apolyton's 5 year total count.(\__/) Save a bunny, eat more Smurf!
