I didn't check my team before kickoff and missed that my kicker, Kaeding, was out for the game. Then Andre Brown has a concussion in first quarter. But having the Bears defense puts me in a slight lead going into the game tonight. I was able to switch out Stephen Hill for Kevin Walter, so maybe I have a chance to actually get a win. Won't help me much in standings, though.

Sporting News did the market-based model up to two or three years ago, and then stopped offering fantasy. The big problem with that is it's very hard to manage - you have to make sure to prevent people from creating artificial price hikes with multiple accounts, and your initial prices have to make some sense. TSN didn't do either very well, by the end; the last year in baseball, it was trivial to create a near-perfect team due to players who missed time the previous year or were otherwise clearly undervalued. This is also somewhat of a problem with the Yahoo! model, but it is less of one - you don't profit off the difference, so while you do get to create a better team than you ought, if somebody gets hurt or is on bye you don't get to profit off the massive difference.

Hm, turns out that's true; I made a bunch of changes as the week progressed.

At one point I had APeterson and BMarshall rostered, but Thursday night, decided to keep JCharles and VCruz. I also changed from ODaniels to HMiller at TE Sunday morning. That's well over 30 net points.

I have regrets.
