Giants got lucky, turned over the ball at the end of the half, but the Packers missed the FG, and the refs missed the player using leverage to jump over the line.

How did Fred Davis suddenly emerge as a star after all these years? He was juicing:

The Associated Press is reporting that tight end Fred Davis(notes) and left tackles Trent Williams(notes) will be suspended for the rest of the season for violation of the league's substance abuse policy.

I really didn't want to rub it in but since you said it first.... at the orange kool-aid drinkers.

I'm actually thinking my 2-4 might have been too generous I didn't think Hanie would be this bad.

Are the Bears still not interested in McNabb? Word is McCown is sucking it up in practice. I don't understand why you don't just bring in McNabb for insurance in case Hanie gets hurt (he's getting sacked a ton) or if he keeps having 3 INT games. Not saying McNabb will do well (in fact, behind that offensive line, he'll probably be pretty bad) but you want to suit up the best possible personnel you can and McNabb is better than McCown.

Looks like the Bears are considering McNabb. This is what Devin Hester, had to say, however:

"It's going to be tough right now to add a quarterback that hasn't played in a Mike Martz offense," he said. "It's one of the more difficult offenses to run, so to get a quarterback that hasn't been in that offense, right now it's going to be a waste of time. I guess we'll stick with the guys we have right now and hope we get better with those guys."

I guess this is what happens when you decide to run a specialist offense like Mike Martz'. McNabb, Brett Favre, Jeff Garcia, and the other QB's out there have spent their whole careers running West Coast offenses.

The O-line was inexplicably horrible in pass protection yesterday. And Hanie got rattled.
Even with all that, it took a miracle play for KC to score -- plus huge missed opportunities by the Bears:

-Barber fails to line up on the LOS when shifting out to WR, so illegal formation negates touchdown
-Hanie overthrows a wide-open Bennett for easy TD.
-First and goal at the 8 in results in a rare gould miss from 41 (after 2 sacks)
-Roy Williams fails to catch a short bullet pass for TD; deflection results in INT/touchback.

Some basic execution and the Bears win maybe 24-3, even with Hanie being that bad and Forte being out.
Very difficult game to watch, but with Bears at home, we didn't have a Fox option.

I didn't realize smoking pot was considered juicing. He's been playing behind Chris Cooley since he was drafted. Every time Cooley's gone out with injury, however, Davis has shown flashes.
