  • Vancouver - Chicago Game 7

Will the Canucks' Hawks trauma continue and result in the most epic of chokes or will they come back - can I call it that - with something deserving of their regular season success? Will the Sedins ever show up for real in the playoffs? Will Kane look like he's 15 forever? Lo7uongo??

Straightforward poll for the record. I saw the stir in the other thread and got curious what people really think behind all the trolling. Remember to vote with your conscience!

Vancouver is a deeper team with a LOT of talent and its almost unthinkable for them to drop 4 straight in this fashion-- I don't believe much in Luongo and I believe his play has borne that out but there is a part of me that wonders if just once he will rise to the moment and pull this through

I can't imagine the Blackhawks coming back from 0-3 to win, but I said the same about the Red Sox.

I just think Hawks are now in Canucks heads, esp. Luongo. Hawks have the momentum now and Crawford was just outstanding in 3rd period and OT last night. But, like RAH, I am a tad biased.

Vancouver lacks the character for deep playoff runs. Even if they do win this game, they're toast next round as usual.

The core of their team is demonstrably ineffective in the playoffs. The Sedins can't play when they're checked in tight quarters -- they have a hard time adjusting to playoff hockey. Luongo is great so long as there is no pressure. Burrows and Kesler disappear completely when the stakes are high. Even in the Olympics, Kesler only had 1 non-empty net goal and he was supposedly one of the best players of the tournament ( )

People keep trying to tell me that Kesler is the best US player in the league now, and one of the best ever.

I agree on the momentum part etc etc but there has been a part of me that thought that the Canucks would somehow from someone get the big performance and manage to win-- They are very deep

But I guess tomorrow is their last chance --

I think Vancouver will (and should) win, but another choke wouldn't shock me.

                      One thing is sure:
If Vancouver loses, it will be because of the refs.

Based on overall talent and home ice, I think Vancouver will win. The Hawks just don't have anywhere near the depth they had last year. But my heart says: just one more game. You can do this, boys!

I've gotta say, I've been back and forth on this a million times. The high drama of the 0-3 comeback and abject homerism vs. home ice and a team of superior overall talent. I've had a bad feeling about the Hawks since about Game 50, but they've really shown some heart that seemed like it was missing.

So I gotta go Hawks. GO HAWKS!

What the hell? An entire thread for this?

What about the Flyers-Sabres game 7 on right now?
