I don't know... The Giants had 4 turnovers (3 interceptions, 1 fumble plus a safety so really 5 turnovers) against the Panthers but still killed them. I don't see what the issue is. Johnson, palming the ball with arm extended, put it on the ground and dropped it. Doesn't matter that he was getting up; on a pass, the rule is you have to keep possession all the way to the ground, and he didn't.

He got three feet inbounds, then a knee, then his left hand hit out of bounds, and then he set the ball down on turf.
That is a touchdown by any and every defintion of rules. That was an even worse call than I was expecting, and remember, I'm a Lions fan, so I expect the worst as a genetic trait.
