Caused by trying to do a trade with Bears but both teams got the players they wanted anyway.

Apparently it was the Bears who held things up... Angelo shows his first-round incompetence once again.

The Ravens reportedly are appealing for a fourth-round pick from the Bears as compensation for Thursday night's botched trade at the 26th pick.

Bears GM Jerry Angelo has apologized for the snafu, but something smells in the state of Denmark. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome informed NFL personnel executive Joel Bussert that a trade had been finalized, only Angelo failed to follow through on his end. Both teams got their players in the end, but the Ravens are out a draft pick that they believed was coming their way. An NFL ruling is expected to come Friday or Saturday.

Hopefully since both teams ended up with who they wanted, the NFL won't feel the need to penalize the Bears. Typical that Angelo thought he needed to trade up when he didn't have to.

The Redskins keep trading down and getting more picks. I didn't know such a thing was possible. I thought draft picks were for trading for other team's garbage players.

Snyder doesn't even know what cheap means. This has to ShanAllenahan working to build a team. There are simply too many needs to not address them through the draft. Trading down 6 spots in the first and 2 spots in the fifth netted a 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th. OLB, DT, 3 WR, 2 RB, and a S are good but somewhat short of o-line. Maybe some of the four 7th round picks will be o-line

Perhaps the best story of the entire draft...

According to NFL.com, the Eagles and Patriots swapped their No. 193 and No. 194 picks on Saturday for no other reason than a laugh.

It appears the pointless trade was made as a reference to incorrect rumors that the two clubs had swapped picks at least once every season since 2000. (They have in fact done so just four times.)

The next time you think to yourself Bill Belichick is the most humorless man that's ever lived, you'd be well-served to remember this.

And yet no QB was drafted... what's the deal with that? Rex Grossman is going to be the starter?

Arizona and Buffalo didn't draft QB's presumably because they expect to get a hold of Kolb, McNabb, or Vince Young (and Buffalo could probably ride with Fitzpatrick). What's with Washington, though?
