Isn't the loss column where it matters? After all, they won all they've played .

Oregon, Auburn, Boise, and TCU all have to lose

So would either LSU or Stanford--both are ahead of Wisconsin in the BCS standings.

          • How would an Auburn and Oregon loss affect their respective SoS?

            • An Auburn loss to Alabama wouldn't affect LSU's SoS at all, since it would be offset by a corresponding Alabama win. Same can ultimately be said for an Oregon loss to either Arizona or Oregon State, since Stanford has played one and will play the other.

                • Crazy rumors flying fast and furious on the interwebs re: Camgate. One line summary: possibly just the tip of the iceburg involving Auburn boosters, trustees, casinos, bribes, etc. I don't buy 99% of it, but it makes for an entertaining read. http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/m...asp?p=22778676

                  On to other issues...

Nebraska looks to be the odds-on favorite in its still-to-be-named division of the Big Ten next year, but Jesus, it ain't gonna be easy. Four of the other five teams in its division have a legit shot (Minnesota ), assuming Michigan's defense advances to mediocre and Dan Persa recovers from his injury. Not to mention that Nebraska manages to play the best three teams in the other division... yikes, poor Huskers.

                  • The addition of Nebraska will go a long way toward cementing the Big 10's reputation as too slow, too white, and too boring. As an added bonus, the Sooners will be joining the B10 tradition of round-robin upsets that preclude any title game possibility for any conference member.

                    Welcome, and enjoy!

                            • I can see how that could be true. I could have used it many times following Cowboys games this year.
