No, no special hatred. And they did have have their 3rd stringers in. The 70 yard TD was by the 3rd string QB. While I don't like running up the score either, these 3rd and 4th stringers have very limited playing time so they want to impress for the next season. They guy was just auditioning for 2011 or 2012.

      • Michigan won in about the ugliest way imaginable, with five turnovers for the second straight week.

On the plus side, we're 7-3, which seemed all but impossible fairly recently.

On the minus side, this performance has made me downgrade the likelihood of pulling an upset over Wisky from eminently possible to not bloody likely, and an upset over OSU from not bloody likely to

Aztecs fell just short. Wonder if they'll get jumped by the Broncos.

        • Also of note: barring Newton being declared ineligible for the SEC Championship, there is no possible way in this space-time continuum that Auburn is going to lose to either South Carolina or Florida, so the Iron Bowl is the entire season for the Tigers.

          • ****, that was scary. A win's a win... but damn it, the Ducks gave me heartburn. WTF is up with their penalties the past two games?

Stanford had a narrow escape as well. USC is handily beating Arizona, which is Oregon's next opponent at Autzen.

            • That was as impressive a gag job as I've ever seen. Congrats, Golden Bears.

              • Boise State is the only undefeated team in action next weekend; the other three all have byes. They're hosting Fresno State, which is not a bad team by any means. But, come on. 99%

                1. Boise State
                2. Oregon
                3. TCU
                4. Auburn
                5. Wisconsin
                6. Stanford
                7. LSU
                8. Ohio State
                9. Nebraska
                10. Michigan State*

*could easily be any number of other teams. Also, if the Spartans win out against Purdue and Penn State, they'll leapfrog Wisky (and, by extension, OSU).

                • No changes at all in my rankings this week:

                  1. Boise State
                  2. Auburn
                  3. Oregon
                  4. TCU
                  5. Wisconsin
                  6. Stanford
                  7. Nebraska
                  8. LSU
                  9. Michigan State
                  10. Ohio State

Good week for the Broncos with the dominant win, TCU struggling against SDSU, TCU's win over Utah losing a lot of its luster, Oregon showing that it's vulnerable (the Civil War is not going to be a walk in the park, no sir), and Virginia Tech continuing to roll. There's hope yet that Boise'll jump back in front of TCU where they belong.

Oh, I don't know about that. Did you miss the fact that Oregon State just lost, at home, to the Washington State Cougars? Their season has been derailed by the Rodgers brothers injuries, and Katz has proven to be about as unreliable as Kevin Prince.
