AHL- Apolyton Hockey League 10/11: Preseason

I happen to absolutely hate my team, but maybe it's just a challenge to see if I can rebuild it on the fly this season.

Christ, and now the robo-bidding is nominating defensemen which are going to waste because they're in the 3rd & 4th D slots, which we don't have. Just means that I can't pick from them because they're gone now. Jesus christ.

I've dropped everyone's players from the (more) screwed up draft. I'll start inputting the new ones tomorrow.

Tough night

The draft think worked fine for me but my son had a broken arm . I was distracted early talking on the phone with them and didn't pay attention to the draft much-- Then I overpaid for a couple of guys since I thought I would have to go to the hospital right away-- Then when I did actually have to go I blew my money on whomever looked decent and then went autopick for my last few

My boy fractured his ulna and had a chip out of his radius and hardly made a sound about it-- He thinks his new red cast is very "cool" and the idea of not having to actually WRITE in school for 6-8 weeks seems attractive to him

I'll let you guys know who to drop after I get home tonight and don't have to use **** computer to compare stats and projections at several different websites. It'll probably be Halak or Hiller and the third defenseman I drafted, but I'm not sure yet.

I actually hate my team-- I put it down to my complete lack of prep-- I got home, had the broken arm possibility thing going on and then signed on to my yahoo account to find we were drafting in 10 minutes. Even then I would have managed to enjoy the draft but I was away and missed a couple of players I wanted and then when I thought I would have to leave immediately, I overspent on some guys and totally deserted my "wait till the end and pick up some studs type strategy. I can probably point at 4-5 guys that went at the end supercheap that I wanted.

The only upside is that my overpriced defence should be pretty good and with only 8 teams there will be some emerging stars and there will always be value on the FA market Oh well-- c'est la vie.


On the upside my son is doing very well-- He thinks its ok to have a day off school and is propped up with his arm on a bunch of pillows. He is proud of his red cast and cannot wait for all his school friends to sign it.


OH and I will drop Phaneuf and Streit

Ok, five teams done now and most of the rest is entered. I just need to hear from boo, Sparrowhawk and Guy about who they want to drop. I'd really like to get them all in today so that everyone can get their opening night rosters set and make any last minute adds/drops they'd like.
