Whatever. That happens everywhere. You get some fans that are over-the-top obnoxious. I've experienced it in Boston - god forbid I wear an Orioles cap to a Red Sox game when I was eight years old. Don't even try to portray Philly as unique in that regard. Good thing I had my older brothers and cousins with me or those Boston thugs would have left this eight year-old in a ditch. Never held that against BOSTON though, only the losers that were the perps.

It was the two years I went to college just outside of Philly that did it to me re: Philly. Everyone I met was like the dickwads on Always Sunny. So like I said, maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion.

What makes Philly unbearable is that they hate good players and love fat stupid ugly players who are like a retarded chimo uncle who just can't help himself. If anything, McNabb's ignorance on overtime should have endeared him with the no brow Philly sports fan populace. Lindros was a baby except when he got a concussion 81 times per season and had a collapsed lung.

Their problem is one of caring more about whether they like their players for being as people more than winning. If they wanted to win they'd shut their goddamn talk holes and cheer for their team when it has legit talent.

Guess that's the atmosphere that suites me for a sporting event - fans that are knowledgeable and over-the-top passionate. If you don't like it, don't go to sporting events in Philly. Easy enough. Every Philadelphia player I hear interviewed likes it. Or else.

Bull****. If the fans were knowledgable they wouldn't want to lynch McNabb. Can't wait to see the Eagles go 4-12 this season.

Police: Man purposely vomited on Phillies fans
21-year-old Clemmens allegedly upset after companion kicked out of game

PHILADELPHIA - A New Jersey man is facing charges after police say he intentionally vomited on an 11-year-old girl and her father in the stands during a Phillies game.

Twenty-one-year-old Matthew Clemmens, of Cherry Hill, N.J., was arraigned Friday on charges stemming from his behavior at Wednesday night's Phillies-Nationals game.

Police say Clemmens made himself vomit on an off-duty police captain and his daughter after a companion was kicked out for unruly behavior.

Easton police Capt. Michael Vangelo says he saw Clemmens put his fingers down his throat. Philadelphia police say Clemmens also punched Vangelo and vomited on an arresting officer.

Clemmens is in custody on charges including assault and harassment. Bail is $12,000. His listed phone number is disconnected.
