I had Borbon on 3 teams already, but in this league I got Ellsbury, Stubbs, and Gonzalez so he's definitely expendable, especially if he cant hit southpaws. Frankly Ellsbury was the bad pick, not that he's lousy or anything, just too many burners going deeper in the draft. I should have waited, I got all the speed I wanted in the later rounds - too much speed.

But good call Ozzy, for a newbie thats rather impressive... I didn't think you knew my rep yet Course it only takes 1 year to see my use of the waiver wire aint normal

I had a player hit the DL at the same time Yahoo lineups locked.

It was the timing. Last night, going to see how it goes. Not on DL. This morning, on DL and rosters set.

Did I not make that clear enough?!?

and my advice was to watch for weekend injuries which usually occur in a game long before yahoo locks down Sunday or the player is put on the DL. I got a similar problem, I started Ellsbury and he bruised his ribs Sunday - now he's missing games albeit no DL yet. Try to avoid players who are ??? for the coming week... Almost all of the times I went with a DL for the week could have been avoided had I checked the status of my players after Sunday's games...

It's a nagging injury that he's been playing with, that he still stole a base with.
I'm not really griping. There's nothing to be done about it, unless I pulled him in caution, as you say. That would have made sure he was healthy, I imagine.

I've had that happen to me, once it was the SB that re-aggravated the injury. Other sites have better information flow, I dont know why yahoo is lacking in the dept. Its true for golf too, pga tour and cbs sportsline are better. I dont use espn but I'd bet they are more up to date.
