                          Well, it's starting to get close to that time to discuss a BAPAY, I guess

                          We do need to decide about ORank vs RANK. O-Rank is Yahoo's estimate for 2009 performance, but is based on their default paramaters; Rank is Yahoo's calculation using our stats but for 2008 data (ie, Cliff Lee is really high in Rank but lower in O-Rank, because he probably won't replicate his season of last year.) Matt Holliday similarly is highly ranked but certainly won't perform nearly as well moving from The Hitter's Park to a pitcher's park (OAK); etc. Thus the eternal conundrum. And no, there's no way to get 2009 projections based on our stat set on Yahoo!.

                          We've waffled on this in the past; Berz eventually needs to make a ruling I suppose. I don't have a strong opinion, though looking at this year's ranks, ORank seems to be a bit more reasonable; otherwise it's always going to give people folks who outperformed last year. ORank doesn't take our stats into consideration, but it at least uses 2009 projections.

                                He is in class, I'm at work and can look stuff up. I asked him if he knows what player he wants, or even what position he wants filled.
