And actually that's wrong. According to Yahoo's Rank, Grant Balfour is 79 in rank and Kerry Wood is 81.

So the BAPAY should be Balfour.

I'd still argue that O-Rank is superior to Rank in most cases for BAPAY (given RANK is based solely on 2008 stats and not on any form of projection)... but they're both bad, of course.

And, Imran, you said you should recuse yourself from this decision... I suggest you continue to do so. Let Berz make the call, he's the Commish.

Ben Sheets had surgery on his pitching elbow on Tuesday, according to a FOXSports.com report.

Sheets said that he is targeting his comeback for after the All-Star break and should be able to adhere to that timetable if he doesn't suffer any rehab setbacks. The former Brewers ace's most serious suitor was the Texas Rangers, who actually had a two-year deal with him until his obligatory physical raised questions about the condition of the elbow. Talks of restructuring the deal were scrapped and Sheets opted for surgery.

I think we should use O-Rank because it takes into account 2009 projected performance... that both Rank and O-Rank have problems, but O-Rank is superior. But you're the commish so you make the call on the BAPAY, either way...
