Please, please, please don't tell me you still think they don't deserve a chance at the championship.
Utah would lose to a top-flight team like USC, Florida, Oklahoma or Texas. Alabama wasn't a top-flight team; they've been overrated all season.

NGR is right. Texas proved it didn't belong in the National Championship Game as they barely got by an Ohio State team which lost badly to USC and to Penn State.
I think what this bowl season is clearly showing is that the Big XII was MASSIVELY overrated.
