Who will the Lions take with the first pick.

    Who will the Lions take with the first pick.

    I've seen Stafford picked in a few a mock drafts. I'm not sure going after another offensive skill position is the best idea.

    Personally, if possible, I'd like to see them trade down for a proven Offensive or Defensive Lineman and a lower first round pick.

    They will take a big bust. Probably a QB bust.

    Later on the Bears will take the other major QB bust of the draft. Or possibly an OL bust.

      The Bears will not spend on a 1st round QB. They have decided that Orton is our savior. I think our bust will be a WR. My personal preference is to keep drafting DBs at a furious rate since we go through them so fast. LB and OL would be worth strong consideration. Certainly it's a team with plenty of needs.

      The Lions need infrastructure. Front 7 on defense and O-line. I agree that trading down for quantity is their best course of action. Problem is, rarely does anyone want to pay that price anymore. But they aren't escaping the cellar until they can block and tackle.

          Maybe WCF will clean house and hire some front office people who are good at GMing and scouting, who will draft a franchise LT*.

            They need to draft a bedrock offensive lineman. No matter what. That's what they need more than anything else.

                  Who Stafford? Matthew Stafford is a junior, smart enough to not come out early.
                  They do need a QB, but I'd maybe wait and go with a boss hog LB. They have plenty of picks now, thanks to the Cowboys.
