Here is why Jagr couldn't get a 3 year contract in the NHL.

    The trendline is in green.

I did not make up the statistics, I just graphed them.

Jagr is on an obvious, linear, and predictable decline and he wanted a long-term contract in the NHL. He's retarded.

Since he couldn't get it in his first choice, the NHL, he went to Russia. And you're proud of this...

[QUOTE]and they've got no cap space for washed up underperforming players.
Calgary paid 1/10th for a player who produced just as many points. Jagr is an expensive old boat, not worth it to any NHL team. As usual, Russia gets the scraps.
Yes, for his price and age, absolutely.
I'll remind you this sh!t in 2010 when Czehs leaded by Jagr will crush your another dream team (aka "oh sh!t we had a bad roster again") in Vancouver.

No, they're not crap. Jagr is still a useful player on a 1year, 3 mil or so contract. He just wants too much.

He's not a star in the NHL anymore.

One hit from Phaneuf will shatter every geriatric bone in his body. Especially since he won't be used to a physical game, playing with the boys and old men in Russia.

Tell me, in the Russian superleague do the players still skate around like rejected figure skaters and cringe every time someone makes contact with them?

I take it by signing Jagr they've given up on signing Malkin as well. I told you, Malkin knows where the play is at. When he's 40, maybe he'll retire to play as the best player in the Russian superleague as well.

Bah, like Dynamo scored anything last season.

He played 50 of the 56 games (6th on the team).
Yeah, he probably spent a minute on ice in every of these 50 games. I give him that.
Anyhow, Dynamo Moscow was pure crap last season. They have been kicked out (3:0) by Lokomotive (Yashin plays there) in the first round of the play-off. Then we crushed Lokomotive 3:1 in quarters.

                    Oh, that is so gay.

Where can I find TOI statistics for Russian games? Or do you guys not do that kind of Western civilization ****?

                      We can afford it.

He's not a star in the NHL anymore.
Obviously, since he moves to my city for the next two years.

                      We'll see.

                      1) Russian superleague is no more:

                      2) Last times we played against Canada it was your players who cringed all the time.

I take it by signing Jagr they've given up on signing Malkin as well. I told you, Malkin knows where the play is at. When he's 40, maybe he'll retire to play as the best player in the Russian superleague as well.
Who the hell told you we ever wanted Malkin? Malkin is a child of Magnitogorsk Metallurg. He started to play hockey there when he was a kid and played there until he signed that shady deal with NHL and escaped like a coward. Metallurg is our arch-rival (ironically we pwned them 3 years in a row in the play-offs when Malkin was there and lost to them (last season) when he quit).
Nobody here (in Omsk) wants Malkin for our team.
On the other hand, Jagr has a sh!tloads of fans here. He won a cup of Europian champions with us in 2005.

Russia lives in the past, so no wonder they like Jagr.

You guys used to be powerful too. What happened?

Did all of your bright minds defect to the West like your hockey players?

No time on ice statistics for you. Learn Russian if you want some. Then google through sh!tloads of Russian hockey sites to find info about your exact player. I won't do it for you.

Is Jagr unpopular among the Rangers fans? Do New-Yorkers live in the past?

Numbers are numbers. I tried to google but found no results. I don't think Russian leagues keep track of this, the numbers are too hard.

If someone likes the Rangers, then they MUST be living in the past because there's nothing to like...

Canada kicked your ass in the cold war. That's all you need to know.

The fact that our stealth technology is so much better than yours -- you're not even aware of our massive armed forces -- is just icing on the cake.

Yet another NHL castoff is on his way to Russia:

Ray Emery has decided to take his show on the road.

The former Ottawa Senator netminder has agreed to a one-year deal with Atlant Mytishchi of the new Russian Continental Hockey League. The deal is reportedly worth in excess of $2 million plus bonuses.

"Unfortunately, it's only been a short time since the buyout and there isn't anybody willing to give (Emery) a second chance at this time," said Emery's agent J.P. Barry. "I think if people knew the things that he's done over the last little while to turn the corner, there might be more interest out there.

According to Barry, Emery had hoped to play in the NHL next season, but received just three calls.

"Given his offer from Atlanta, in Ray's circumstances, we feel the best thing for him to do is play as the No. 1 goalie with this club. Ray is excited about the opportunity and just wants to go back to focusing on being the best goalie that he can be. He knows there will be a lot of pressure, but he's ready for that and he's looking forward to moving on," Barry added.

Emery joins former New York Ranger Jaromir Jagr, who recently signed a two-year, $14-million contract with Avangard Omsk, as one of the few NHLers to leave North America for Russia.

Emery hopes this detour is just a stopgap until he can resume his career in the NHL. Last season, Emery lost his starting job to Martin Gerber and a series of off-ice antics prompted the Senators to buy out the 25-year old's contract.

"He's a talented goalie who wants to play," said Barry.

Emery ended the season with a 12-13-4 record and an .890 save percentage.
