        Which one?

You're probably referring to the IIHF one which they hold every year during the NHL playoffs where the best players don't go because they're either in the playoffs or they're too busted up from the NHL season. I think Russia won that one this year, but no one cares about it...it's a bit of a joke.

The big ones are the Olympics and the World Cup (used to be called the Canada Cup for obvoius reason ). Even the World Jrs are bigger because they represent the best players in the under 20 year old age group. Canada's won that many years in a row.

        The hierarchy is as follows:

        Stanley Cup
        Olympic Hockey
        World Cup/Canada Cup
        World Jrs
        IIIHF World Championship
        Russian league championships

The Russian League is ahead of the Swedish and Finnish ones in the hierarchy.

You left out the WHL/OHL/QMJHL leagues.

                I was only counting majors.

                But including those:

                Stanley Cup
                Olympic Hockey
                World Cup/Canada Cup
                World Jrs
                WHL/OHL/QMJHL
                IIIHF World Championship
                Russian league championships

                  Re: Sweden and Finland.

Sort of. Kind of farm leagues for NHL.

We did, in a dramatic clash of two hockey super-powers (Russia-Canada).
That was a really incredible match, a tough competition, an unbelievable comeback as a demostration of superior fighting spirit (sorry Asher, you fought very well, but we were better).

Here you can read about the final:

Just notice that this article is writen by a Canadian fan and doesn't reflect the reality fully (for example, we were penaltised twice for the same fault as Nash (and Canada scored when it was 3 vs 5), but the author don't give a damn about that. He whines about that fully deserved fault like that it is what costed Canada a defeat.
You have to search for this game at youtube.com or something. It's a real classic.
Sure I know that in England hockey is not very popular. But actually it's very close to football, basically - it's just faster than football.

p.s. Well, you can type "Russia-Canada 5:4" or "Canadian disaster 5:4" in any search engine and you'll get a lot of links about that superb struggle.

Oh, and don't trust a single word of Mr Snuggles (aka Asher), 'cause he is a well-known racist/nazi (or Russia hater to be exact - it's his infernior complex) and... well, he loves gay porno for a reason.
Actually, I don't care about his sexual orientation. Just two things I hate about him:
                      1) he hates my country and my countrymen
                      2) he can't face defeat like a man (Like Marco did)

Russia has never won anything except the pity of the world.

We pwn you at Olympics 9:1 (I meant the total encounters: they defeated us only once since the begining of our encounters at Olympic stage. We crushed them 9 times). So, shut the **** up - loser.
