Both of those teams look to be utterly unbeatable.

The only downside to the potential Wings-Pens Final is that it would be way better than Gary Bettman deserves.

Well, certainly the least competitive conference finals in recent years. However, there is something to be said for seeing such transcendantly dominant performances, building towards what will be the most anticipated finals in recent years.

Granted I'm biased for the Wings, but I'm finding the Pens to be almost as fascinating to watch.

How can you be There's still hockey on! I thougth Canadians lived for hockey.

As an (American) football fan, by late summer, many months of withdrawal have me watching meaningless pre-season games, just because it's football. (Arena football doesn't count.)

When your own team is out and the only games that are on are horribly one sided, it's decidedly not that interesting.

Same thing with the preliminary World Cup games...all-star teams, but terribly boring until the final rounds...

Finally. He's traditionally fallen apart against Detroit, which isn't that astounding, Detroit knows how to cover most situations.
Power plays are killing Dallas.

Dallas played a damned good game last night, but the Wings were still all over them in the second and third periods. The whole complexion of the game may have been radically different if the Datsyuk goal hadn't been erroneously waived off.

Turco had a helluva game, makes me a bit worried about Game Five.

Detroit is looking totally dominant. So are the Pens.

I'm wondering what people think about the importance of injuries. Take Detorit as a good example. One player, Lidstrom, was out and what was their record during that time?

OTOH, Pittsburgh missed Crosby for a period and had Malkin step up. They didn't miss too many beats.

Detroit had their crappy stretch start like 6-7 games before Lidstrom's injury. He's the best d-man out there, but people claiming his injury is responsible for Detroit's slide have selective memories.
