Texas Bowl is pretty minor, too. Congrats to Rutgers and their appearance in 2 minor bowls.
TT leading the Big 12 in BCS eligible appearances pales in comparison.

Rutgers, by itself, doesn't get to decide on bowl tie ins. And the Big East, being relatively young, doesn't have all that many high profile ones. So that's what happens.Originally posted by SlowwHand

Btw, looking over the BCS, Virginia Tech got SCREWED! #1 in the computers, they get passed over by Oklahoma and LSU in the Coaches and Harris Polls even though they also won their conference championship game by 14 points (over #11). Oklahoma, I can see, since they beat the #1 team by 21. But LSU? They beat #14 by 7, and barely.
Forget about the they got beat by 41 to LSU... any other time of year, there is NO WAY those teams jump Virginia Tech. That was solely done by Big XII and SEC voters to try to get their teams in the NC game.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another.
