The false tension is incredibly lame.
The smug announcer who knows the script is annoying.
The orchestrated "woo-hoo's" at the schools is patronizing and pathetic.
A simple announcement followed by a lengthy Q&A -- you know, like actual journalism and discussion -- would actually hold my interest. But this crap is just insulting.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

In looking at VERY early 2008 NFL projections, I don't see Colt Brennan anywhere in first 3 rounds.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Seriously, I'll laugh and laugh if some crap team like the Bears or Vikings passes on him in the draft because Kyle Orton or Tarvaris Jackson is TEH FUTURE.
If you don't wish to get into the ugly history of it, I'll merely point out that Washington is 99th in the nation in pass efficiency defense.Last edited by DanS; December 2, 2007, 23:40.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. And yes, I agree... that selection show was annoying as Hell. I don't know, was ESPN required not to reveal any of the bowls until they were all announced, or did they decide not to play that game Fox was and just announce them them all when they knew them all?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Yeah, but they did it so slow, did ESPN have to wait for ALL of them, or could they release each in turn as Fox did?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Who isn't going to a bowl game? Rutgers isn't, I don't think. Texas Tech is, though.
Texas Tech will face Virginia in Gator Bowl

Texas Tech (8-4) will face Virginia (9-3) in the Konica Minolta Gator Bowl at noon Jan. 1 at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla. The game will be broadcast live by CBS.
This will be the Red Raiders’ fourth appearance in the Gator Bowl, dating back to their 1954 matchup against Auburn. Tech last played in the Gator Bowl in 1973, defeating Tennessee, 28-19.
This will be Tech’s eighth consecutive bowl appearance, all under coach Mike Leach. Tech is 4-3 in bowls since 2000 but has won four of its last five. Tech leads the Big 12 with 15 consecutive bowl-eligible seasons.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

I suppose once it's been announced they could've released each one, but what advantage is there to them? The 'show' is the only reason to slow it down, and that's not much reason<Reverend> IRC is just multiplayer notepad.
