  • We're officially one Missouri loss away from total chaos.

You have to think that if the Tigers do lose, Kansas will be the team to sneak in the back door (Ohio State can buy their tickets for New Orleans; they're definitely in). It's almost impossible to justify putting Georgia in ahead of SEC champion LSU, considering that LSU did just as well with a much tougher schedule, and Georgia didn't even make the SEC championship game (and will be hurt SOS-wise by the Tennessee loss). Same with Virginia Tech, since LSU kicked the crap out of them earlier this season.

    • You got that right. Chaos in abundance.

      • Yikes... I guess this is what you do have to worry about with a QB that you use in the running game often. Interestingly, the two games that WVU lost this season, Pat White was injured early. This time he tried to come back, but a QB with a dislocated thumb on his throwing hand isn't going to be able to do anything.

I'd like to see Ohio State vs. Kansas. Though OSU vs. UGA would REALLY make the howls come (rightly so).

The injury was actually on his non-throwing hand, but there definitely were some instances where he was clearly affected by it (namely, the third down where he had difficulty securing the snap which ultimately put them up the creek without a paddle having to deal with 4th-and-17).

If Mizzou can't come back, the only two justifiable teams are Kansas and LSU. I'd call bull**** over either Georgia or Virginia Tech. (Game check: 18 point lead for Oklahoma, less than ten minutes to play, and the Sooners just got the ball back. Not looking good.)

          • Excellent.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. • I'm assuming that you are saying Ohio State is in as #1 and justifiable then?

              • I'd vote LSU vs. Kansas.
I've been busting chops about Matthew Stafford at Georgia for two years, but I wouldn't vote them into BCS. Ditto Ohio St.

I personally believe the Buckeyes are way overrated and shouldn't be anywhere near the title game, but I've accepted that they're going to get in and as #1 purely by attrition.

Personally, I would vote for LSU/Kansas at this point, like Sloww. And that's even with me ranking Georgia & VaTech ahead of Kansas last week (which was mostly just to reflect the Kansas loss).

                  • Well, in many ways, it's over.

My final rankings will wait until after the Hawaii game, but as I've already stated, LSU & Kansas will be #1 and #2.

Which is funny because that is what I believe about LSU .

                      • The chaos is so bad that we can't even count on Hawaii to restore order.

                            • You realize I don't have to... there are plenty who will probably do so .

USC is probably playing better than anyone right now, especially since everyone is healthy. Maybe Georgia is the only one that'd give them a run for their money.

                              • I'd personally love to see Hawai'i play in the championship game, they have as many big wins as OSU does after all (1) and one fewer loss...
