We should know by the end of Wednesday.
Thing is, except for one bad throw (that resulted in a touchdown) Rex didn't perform too badly. A couple of underthrown passes, but also some dropped balls by receivers coupled with the inability to run in a TD from the 2-yard line.

Trading Jones was by far the biggest mistake the Bears made.

I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

    • What game were you watching, Theben?

The last two INTs were horrible decisions -- bad reads, bad throws. Yeah, some passes were dropped. But he was 15-for-32. I think the bar should be set a little higher than that. This is the NFL.

Thomas Jones has not exactly set the world on fire in New York. I too disagreed with the trade, but sincerely doubt he'd be a difference maker on this team.

        Oh, and... KERRY FREAKING COLLINS?!?!????
        Yeah, I misremembered what I needed (<23 I think).

At least I don't need to count on Brees points this week.

Wish Colston'd have scored there though, that Bush score really hurts me

        • I left and the Titans were winning 10-0, now NO has scored twice? Clearly Kerry Collins is to blame...

Apparently I quit watching before the extra INTs. ops:

For throwing a few passes to end the half

              Maybe it's the Collins Curse

                • You laugh, but I fear it's true.

Now that he's back on the bench, the Saints stopped scoring.

                    • And he won't be. I would bet on it. Not with him. That might get him in trouble.

                      • Another INT. Brees looks positively Rexlike out there.

                        Game over.

                        • They didn't run the ball. Bush is a utility back. He can't, and didn't, run 25-30 times.
Rex-like for a reason. If you stop the run and make a QB throw, it's easier. I don't think Grossman is a Brees, but the theory holds true in both cases.

                          • This year at least, they're both mistake-prown, undersized QBs who unravel under pressure.

At least Brees rallied his team into the lead before he folded.

                            • Man, the Saints suck this year. It's hard to imagine they are the same team that won the NFC South last season.

Linehan needs to get the boot.
apparently Bulger had 2 brokens ribs and thus he called a deliberately conservative game plan.

Whats the point in having one of the better backups in Frerotte, when you pull this? Waiting for the injuries to get worse?

                                What a cluster.

Now Jackson is ailing. Season buhbye.

at least Martz was enjoyable to watch.
