Starting tomorrow, NHL preseason games will be available online for free live streaming (and the first week of regulation play, until the 9th).

Then for $169US you can watch all Centre Ice games online.
          Doesn't work in Asia.

Think I'll stick to Sopcast and watching games at a sports bar.

Broadband TV also claims to be offering NHL games, but waiting to see how many games they'll show before I sign a long term contract.

Sakic and St. Louis are far safer bets than Iginla, and there are a lot of other players with more potential than Iginla because of the coaching question, although he's safe at the 85 min range for points.
Sakic is getting up there in age. No doubt that he's a top end pick, but first round is kind of pushing it. St. Louis is a 2nd rounder also.

Iginla is a far safer bet than either of those guys this season. Nolan's not going to throw him off his game, especially considering Nolan's a 4th liner. If Iginla can thrive with Niemenen on his team, Nolan is nothing.

As for Keenan, I don't think that's a problem. Remember, this is a Sutter team, not a Leafs team...they're not weak guys that will cower under Keenan.

St. Louis: 1.244 points per game, +7
Sakic: 1.22 points per game, +2
Iginla: 1.34 points per game, +12

And Sakic is 38 this year...

Yeah, and last year you would have said Sakic is getting old, he's 37...

He's not showing any signs of aging and the AVs are a better team with Smyth giving them two solid lines.

But I do agree that the Flames are weak guys, and that's exactly the problem. There's a big risk of a clash. How is Kippersoft going to respond to getting benched and then being put back in the game. How is Keenan going to use Iginla? What kind of power struggle will occur between Sutter and Keenan? Or will they be on the same page?

                              Lots of questions.

                              • Power struggle? If Keenan tries to engage in a power struggle, he's on his way out pretty quickly. There's ZERO risk of that, considering how infuated with Sutter Ken King and the rest of the Flames ownership are.

As for Kiprusoff, how is he going to respond? Sterling. He's one of the most mentally tough goalies in the business. He doesn't get bothered by a whole lot, including arrogant coaches.

No, Kiprusoff and Iginla will be fine. The only players I worry about under Keenan are Huselius and Tanguay.
