Earlier than that. By the time Mantle and Aaron were ripping the cover off the ball, amphetamines were all over the place. Aaron was chugging red juice and Mantle was popping greenies. Ball Four (Jim Bouton) is an awesome book. I read it when I was a kid. Really opened my eyes. Wide.
I swear, the whole idea behind Who's Now was to take the heat off ESPN for the constantly annoying Bonds cut-aways. I swear, they deliberately designed the WORST POSSIBLE feature so people would complain about that, rather than the Bonds Marathon.The Bonds update was almost as annoying as the Who's Now? crap on Sportscenter.
