Yes, duke specifically asked me to give him a reasonable choice as opposed to a BAPAY. I'm just hesitant to trust only one source for IDPs when i'm not at home and have access to my bookmark lists... IDP rankings vary so much (compare Sloww's list to fftoolbox, for example) that you never know when a particular source is going to have an odd opinion on one of them

Stephen Jackson
Larry Johnson
Frank Gore
Cedric Benson
Joseph Addai
Brian Westbrook

would have one "odd" ranking in there by definition, whether or not he deserves to be ranked there in that person's opinion.

As we approach these final rounds with the prospect of several more IDP BAPAYs, I would like to propose that we settle on one consistent method for doing so. These p1ssing matches over "which site" to use is tedious and counterproductive. IMO, there's no need to leave Yahoo to create a BAP list for defense.

A quick and easy method is to use the Yahoo list, sorted by Points (just click on column header). The list is eminently reasonable, and eliminates "expert" opinions, variations between websites, etc. It compares apples to apples, at the very small cost of ignoring rookies. We use this method at FFZ, and it's never drawn a complaint.

Far cry from this "June-Moon-Witherspoon" bickering.

I ask our fearless commissioner to clarify this situation.

There was no bickering... Duke didn't want a BAPAY, and berz didn't catch this, is all.

For IDP honestly i'd far prefer to leave yahoo and use FFT. It's customizeable by our scoring system, and has useful/interesting ranks for IDP whereas yahoo doesn't. Using last year's scoring is just asking for the BAPAY to be some guy who is hurt or is likely to be much worse this year than he was last year (Cato june...)

I really wish I could understand why Yahoo's recommended picks were so horrible for IDP. Really quite odd...

Actually, i'm being an idiot. Yahoo has projected points just like any other decent site, we just don't normally use it.

Select "Remaining Games (Proj)". It gives you their projection for scoring under this system - which gives a pretty good list of people.

My point is that BAPAY should be consistent, not argumentative. If someone can't be bothered to post a pick or send a list, we should be able to quickly and accurately assign the BAPAY and move on.

But whatever. I'll just stay ready with my picks and stop worrying about it, I guess.

Berz, can we please use the way I suggested (using next year's projected stats)? Last year's stats was never a good idea, just a worst case compromise, and this year's projections are actually pretty reasonable (and what we should be using anyway...)

I should clarify, we're using last years total fantasy points as the filter.

I just used that proj filter (remaining games) Snoop and it has BJ Sams at the top of the list Lets use last years total fantasy points, thats what matters.
