On ESPN radio this morning, they were discussing that even with these stats, he won't make it into the HOF. If this was Baseball, I might agree with them. But these stats should be good enough to get him in.

I think he's a fool. He could have collected a hefty check for a few years to stand on the sideline.

Perhaps the money doesn't matter to him?

Anyway, I think the problem with the HOF is that he never was seen as "one of the great ones" during any of his years. He was either "a guy with promise" (early on) or at best near the top of the #2 tier QBs. He wasn't ever at that Peyton Manning-Tom Brady level, and that'll hurt his chances, stats or no stats. He was just too quiet of a player

If anything, I think Tom Brady hurt Bledsoe. If Brady hadn't taken Bledsoe's job and won 3 SBs, Bledsoe probably would be looked at in a lot better way (especially since he'd be the one piloting the Belichek led Pats).

Not necessarily - Belichek/Pioli could've found some other QB to take over.

Bledsoe didn't work in Weis' offense, I don't see that changing if he had stuck around longer. He was always more arm than brain.

Of course, BUT they may not have been successful as Brady. I think people look at Brady's success and it makes Bledsoe looks a bit worse in comparison... even though Bledsoe really had worse talent throughout his career.

Bledsoe is also considered tough as nails (especially behind that offensive line he had in the mid 90s), but it isn't as public record as say, Favre's toughness.
