This is pretty damn cool.
True Teammates
Former Cowboys cornerback Everson Walls took the role of a teammate to another level this week, as he donated his left kidney to Ron Springs, a former running back of the Cowboys.
Walls and Springs are both recovering from the kidney transplant that took place Wednesday at Medical City Hospital in Dallas.
Springs has been suffering from diabetes for nearly 15 years.
Walls and Springs were teammates with the Cowboys from 1981-84. Springs played his final two years with the Bucs before retiring in 1986. Walls spent nine years in Dallas before playing the next four years with the Giants and Browns.
But the two have remained close friends, both currently living in the Dallas area.
