  • Shouldn't have sold Gallas.......

    • I'm fine with Milan not winning any of the competitions.

        • I thought you sold Lauren to Portsmouth at the beginning of the season?

Also, the amount of crap Ashley Cole got for wanting to leave, but no-one has a go at Gallas for saying he'd never play for the club again and would score own goals etc. Made me very happy to see him starting at full back.

Arsenal injuries have been pretty bad, and you are right about Van Persie, with him in and Henry out you were scoring goals, but most of those injuries happened at different times to each other, last year you coped with similar injuries, because Henry was playing. A team can cope with it's less important players being out, but key players like Henry, Terry or Cech can change a season.

          • Why is it that Arsenal can play such nice football and yet still be so eminently hateable? I think it's just something about Wenger.

With Gallas they wouldn't have shipped those 8 goals Mike was talking about. The back 4 against Liverpool was awful (and played awful)

              • I'd thought Lauren went in Jan, but fair dinkum if you're right.

Surely Chelsea are market leaders on being eminently hateable, though. I reckon nearly every competitive & successfull manager gets hated by everyone else - it goes with the territory.

Gallas - those allegations about own goals etc were not proven. With Cashley it was the whole "£55,000 a week - they're taking the píss, I nearly crashed the car" attitude that got to people, as well as lying about the tapping up. Like many top english players, Arsenal couldn't afford the asking price, so he went.

                • IIRC Gallas threatened to sue over those allegations.

                    • B-E-A-utiful, now Evra is injured too

We finished the game with Kieran Richardson and Darren Fletcher at left back and right back respectively.
Gabi Heinze and Ferdinand at center. That is 6 out of the first 8 defenders out.

                      • Don't play the martyr. 2-nil up against The Blades is hardly the Battle of Thermopylae.

                        • Who's saying it is? It's the upcoming games I am worried about.
They are going to screw it up...

EDIT: Heinze is so **** at center back, he should have been red carded and had a penalty against him

                          • As a Liverpool fan I like it when you play Vidic as a left back. He's a good player but faaaaar too slow to play left back.

                            • When have we played him as left back? I dont think we have, maybe in his first game or something.

I like it when Liverpool plays Gerrard on the right wing
