  • Presumably A. Flintoff - nice chap that he seems, and a monstrously talented cricketer, but who looks to have an IQ of about 3 - would have scored about 1/19 about himself.

EDIT. And what's this about Erinle being targeted by Leicester? Useful attacking player, crap defence.

    • at the Flintoff line.

Erinle has been linked on and off all season. It mainly seems to be because Ollie Smith is widely expected to leave (a real shame but he has never been the same player since his family bereavement in 2005).

Presumably the Tigers board think Erinle offers a contrasting compliment to Mauger - they can play Hipkiss with the Kiwi when more muscle is needed and Erinle when they face what they think are weaker midfields.

Given you have summarised him quite accurately I'm not sure it's a good move.

        Missed that bit earlier. Sorry.
Please don't feel bad about it. Your need being greater than ours and all that ...

Oh and there was something I was going to mention ... Now what was it?

        • Glad you are so understanding.

Cricket - after the Ashes debacle I had no idea it would be giving me so much enjoyment again so soon.

              • I'm looking for a huge performance from France this weekend.

I want to get Wales where they belong at the foot of the table by Monday.

                  • A noble effort - but both Wales and Italy will have their work cut out to climb above England now.

                    • Look on the bright side:

                      (1) The Beer Gut is going to miss the World Cup.

                      (2) M. Catt is going to Ireland as cover for possibly injured J. Wilkinson.

                      • The Beer gut is very much in danger of having to retire - it's a serious neck issue. Fortunately Chuter is a better player anyway.

The other one is certainly worrying however.

                        • You mean the BG's neck is now paying the price for having to support all those chins? I don't think G. Chuter throws any better than the BG ever did. And if there isn't a better, younger alternative than M. Catt ...

                          • There are - Flood, Lamb and Geraghty for starters (the latter is my current pick to make it really big).

God only knows why Catt is back - Ashton doing a bit of Robinson like panicking and returning to veterans who once did a good job?

And I never said Chuter was a better thrower - I said he was a better player.

*edit* Tigers have confirmed signing Erinle by the way.

                              • Literally in the last second. They had the best of the first half, the Hurricans the best of the second. Better performance from the Brumbies, but they're far from the old outfit. Losing S. Larkham to injury at the interval didn't help.
