All Time Greats in Hockey

I would like to see us nominate a first and second string all time greatest Hockey team.

For those who dont play or follow, you have a Goaltender, 2 defensemen, a center and a left and right winger.

So many greats have played.

Gordie Howe, Wayne Gretzsky, Jean beliveau, BobbyOrr, Bobby Hull,Phil Espisito, many from years ago.

Who would you nominate?

One point I think many people when considering old time tenders overlook, is these guys travelled by train, bus and often worked jobs in addition to playing Hockey.

No helmets, no masks and then one could argue the newer generation plays more ghames.

For goaltenders, you just named the two guys I was going to say: Tretyak and Roy are my two favorites from Russia and North America respectively. Of course, there are also guys like Martin Brodeur

I have to say my favorite Montreal Canadien goaltender, most probably because I watched him growing up, his brother Dave played goaltender for the Buffalo Sabres and he, well not only could he represent himself and others in a court of law but could also shut some of the best out...none other than the tall one, Kenny Dryden

Not that it matters, but I had a copy of his mask when I protected the pipes back in early to mid 70's in Maine for an unknown pond league in northern Maine
